Grey Mare Games ("us", "we", or "our") offers a range of games ("Services"), available through our mobile apps.

This page informs you (the "user", "you", "your") of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Services or interact with our websites.

By installing or using our Services you agree to this Privacy Policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect and Use

The data we collect depends on how you interact with us and on your privacy settings. We may ask you to provide certain "Personally Identifiable Information" used to contact or identify you — for example your name and email address, and any information you submit to our customer-service team. We also collect certain information automatically (directly and through third-party SDKs) to operate, analyze, and improve the Services.

Information you provide

  • Account / profile: name and email address when you sign in (e.g. Sign in with Apple or Google), and your display name. From Facebook Login we receive your public profile only (name and profile picture).

  • Support communications: the email address and message you send us when you contact support.

Information collected automatically

  • Identifiers: advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / Apple IDFA), an app-instance/analytics ID, a persistent device identifier used to sign you in to your game account, and a push-notification token.

  • Device & usage: device type, operating system, model, screen, language, time zone, mobile carrier; the actions you take, features you use, your scores/performance per level, and errors you encounter.

  • Approximate location: general location (e.g. country or city) derived from your IP address by our analytics and advertising providers. (The app does not collect precise/GPS device location.)

  • Purchases: records of in-app purchases (receipts and purchase history) used to validate and grant them. Payment is processed by Apple/Google; we do not collect or store your card number or billing details.

  • Multiplayer: when you challenge another player, we process a templated challenge invitation (we do not provide free-text player-to-player messaging).

How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Game (features, content, performance).

  • Personalize content and recommendations.

  • Communicate with you (updates, notifications) and provide customer support.

  • Validate and grant in-app purchases.

  • Deliver and measure advertising, subject to your consent.

Advertising, Google Signed-In Data, and Your Choices

We display ads through Google AdMob and mediation partners. We use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent. Where you consent to ad storage, your activity in the Game may be associated with information from your signed-in Google account to improve advertising audiences, bidding, optimization, and conversion measurement.

You remain in control:

  • View and delete this activity via Google "My Activity" (myactivity.google.com).

  • Grant or withdraw advertising consent at any time through the in-app privacy/consent prompt. Withdrawing consent limits the collection and use of advertising identifiers.

  • iOS: the IDFA and cross-app tracking are used only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt; you can change this in device Settings.

How We Share Information

We share information with:

  • Service providers that operate the Game (hosting/backend, analytics, payment processing).

  • Advertising & attribution partners that help deliver and measure ads. Some of these partners use device and advertising identifiers to build cross-app advertising profiles — under certain laws (e.g. California's CCPA/CPRA) this may be considered "sharing" of personal information. See "Your Choices" below to opt out.

  • Legal requirements — to comply with law, court order, or subpoena.

  • Business transfers — in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Third-Party Services

Our Services integrate third-party SDKs that collect and/or receive data, including but not limited to the following. Each is governed by its own privacy policy; the current, complete list of advertising partners is presented in the in-app consent prompt.

  • Google — Play services, AdMob (ads), Firebase (analytics, push messaging, realtime database), Google Sign-In

  • Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, App Tracking Transparency

  • Microsoft PlayFab — accounts, player data, leaderboards

  • Unity — engine services and Unity Ads

  • Meta / Facebook — Facebook Login and Audience Network ads

  • AppLovin, Liftoff/Vungle — advertising mediation

  • Branch — deep linking and attribution (collects IP and device signals for attribution)

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the practices of third-party services.

Your Consent and Legal Bases (GDPR / EEA, UK)

For users in the EEA/UK, our legal bases are consent (advertising identifiers, personalized ads, optional analytics — via the in-app prompt), contract (to provide the Game and process purchases), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Services), and legal obligation. You may access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, exercise data portability, and withdraw consent at any time, and may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents may request to know, access, delete, and correct their personal information, and are protected from discrimination for exercising these rights. Because advertising partners may sell or share personal information (e.g. building cross-app ad profiles), you may opt out of the sale/sharing of your personal information by declining advertising consent in the in-app privacy settings. Cookies and Push Notifications

Our Services do not use browser "cookies" explicitly, but third-party SDKs may use cookies or similar identifiers. We may send push notifications about game updates and Services news; you can opt out in your device settings.

Security of Your Data

We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute safety.

International Transfers of Data

We may transfer and store your information on servers outside your jurisdiction, where data-protection laws may differ. We take appropriate measures to ensure adequate safeguards and confidentiality.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country — for example, 16 in parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy at any time and will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent in-app/website notice. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
